Surface Contour Plot

This is the 1st of several volume visualization plots. It takes evenly spaced x/y/z volume data with arbitrary A. It then draws a surface wherever A has a particular value.
Note that this plot takes a fair bit of computing horsepower in interactive mode. It's fine on a slow pentium, but its computationally intensive enough to bring an old slab to its knees.


This is a cube with a point charge at each corner. 4 charges have charge 1 the other 4 have charge -.5. 3 contours are overlaid with different colors.

Here are 3 hydrogenic P orbitals. This was done on a 31x31x31 mesh (21x21x21 looks almost as good), so it doesn't take very high resolution volume data to get pretty nice surface contours:
